Features

New exhaust and muffler

Thrill. Harmony. Power. That’s what the new CBR650R is all about. The four exhaust downpipes sweep together around the front of the engine, and the muffler has been designed to deliver a thrilling growl as revs climb.

Full LED lighting

Every detail of the new CBR650R has been designed for passionate riders. The premium dual LED headlights echo the style of the CBR1000RR Fireblade, throwing out crisp white beams. The taillight has a sleek, minimalist form.

LCD Display

The view forward from the cockpit is pure sports. The digital LCD instruments are clear and easy to read. A Gear Position and Shift Up indicator are now included in the display.

Assist/Slipper Clutch

Hard braking, rapid downshifting, smoothly controlled corner entry: the Assist/Slipper Clutch allows you to confidently experience the thrills of the CBR650R while easily managing the six-speed gearbox.

Four - cylinder engine

The new CBR650R is equipped with a powerful four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve engine. It has a 12,000rpm redline and features Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to maintain rear wheel traction. You have the power to unleash the beast within.

Putting the R into CBR

Drawn directly from the sport style of the Fireblade, the CBR650R has honed its racetrack DNA for aggressive road performance. The step and handlebars have been readjusted to give you the optimal riding position to easily manage the accelerations, decelerations, and cornering that come with tackling thrilling winding roads, and the front tyre has been reweighted to improve the bike’s turn-in capability. Up front piercing dual LED headlights fill out the tightly wrapped fairing, mirrored by the minimal seat unit. And the electrifying roar of the exhaust chasing the redline will make your hair stand on end.

A thrilling rush

The peak power of this beast has been boosted to 70kW. But there’s an easy conversion available from Honda dealers to make it A2 licence friendly. The CBR650R leads its class in power-to-weight ratio. The 64Nm torque is exceptional, and the redline is now 12,000rpm. The inline four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine attracts attention. An Assist/Slipper Clutch eases upshifts and manages hard down changes, while Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) maintains rear wheel traction so you can focus on racing through turns. The twin-duct intake system features improvements to the interior structure of the air cleaners, and increased tailpipe diameter produces piercing pick-up response from around 7,000 rpm.
